Vinegar isn’t just for poaching eggs and pickling vegetables – if used correctly it will remove salt and other stains from your leather shoes. Here’s a step-by-step guide to make your shoes spotless.

1. Take a soft cloth and rub off any debris or dirt from your shoes. Make sure it’s soft; otherwise it can leave scratch marks on the leather.

2. Mix equal amounts of white vinegar and water in a bowl.

3. Use a clean cloth, soak it in the water and vinegar mixture and press it all over your shoes, with extra attention paid to the spots.

It’s not harder than that! But be careful, this hack shouldn’t be used on suede, nubuck or other sensitive leather materials.
