The best celebrity Halloween costumes ever

It’s cheering that stars love a Halloween costume as much as the rest of us, and some take it more seriously than others! Read on for ten of our recent favourite costumes on celebs.

10. KELLY OSBORNE AS MARGOT TENENBAUM
It mightn’t be the scariest choice, but we think Kelly Osbourne did a great job in 2014 as Gwyneth Paltrow’s Margot Tenenbaum, from Wes Anderson’s The Royal Tenenbaums. Fuzzy coat, heavy eyeliner and distinctive blonde bob all made the look a stylish costume choice.

9. RITA ORA AS ELLE WOODS
Embracing her most feminine side, Rita Ora took Legally Blonde to heart, dressing up as the film’s studious sorority girl Elle Woods in 2014. Rita included plenty of Barbie-pink accessories and, of course, a little toy chihuahua in place of Woods’ own pup.

8. IGGY AZALEA AS CRUELLA DE VIL
In 2013, Iggy Azalea embraced her more evil side by dressing up as Glenn Close’s classic 101 Dalmatians role Cruella De Vil, including that striking two-toned hairdo, plus an actual Dalmatian as the outfit’s key accessory.

7. ADAM LAMBERT AS A WEREWOLF
It’s good to see some celebs still know the true meaning of Halloween – an excuse to dress up as scarily as possible. For Adam Lambert in 2014, that meant lots of makeup and fake facial hair for his terrifying werewolf costume.

6. JOE JONAS AS DEREK ZOOLANDER
Never let it be said that the Jonas brothers don’t have a sense of humour. Joe dolled himself up as Ben Stiller’s iconic character Derek Zoolander in 2014, not forgetting to give his best Blue Steel modelling look on the red carpet, too.

5. KATE MOSS AS CARA DELEVINGNE
Kate showed off her light-hearted side in 2014 by dressing up as the contender to her supermodel throne, Cara Delevingne, complete with Cara’s favourite outfit: hoodie, slogan tee and perennial sunglasses.

4. KATY PERRY AS A CHEETO
Katy Perry chose to eschew traditionally sexy costumes for Kate Hudson’s 2014 Halloween party, instead dressing up as her favourite snack du jour, a single, sad Cheeto.

3. KIM KARDASHIAN AS CATWOMAN
You’d hardly expect Kim to settle for any old Halloween costume, would you? In 2012 she turned up the volume, channelling Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman in a slinky PVC catsuit, mask and knee-high leather boots.

2. LADY GAGA AS A GHOST
In 2013, Gaga went against her own nature, skipping her beloved elaborate costumes in favour of the simplest Halloween get-up in the book: a ghost costume made from a plain white sheet. Very spooky indeed.

1. HEIDI KLUM AS AN OLD WOMAN
It’s obvious Halloween is Heidi Klum’s favourite time of year – in the past, she’s gone for ape woman and Cleopatra costumes with scary accuracy at her annual Halloween parties. But we love her 2013 turn as a geriatric version of herself, in pearls, grey hair and plenty of wrinkles.
