Introduction
At H&M, quality means making sure our products meet or exceed our customers' expectations. Attention to quality and safety begins at the design stage and continues throughout the entire manufacturing process. Every H&M garment undergoes a variety of different tests before it reaches the store. Around half a million tests are carried out every year, in our own laboratories as well as at external laboratories. H&M has around 150 quality controllers whose job it is to check that every garment meets our quality and safety standards. H&M always complies with the product safety legislation applicable in the sales country with the strictest standards, and our safety standards for childrenswear are particularly high.
